What Can Vegans Eat?

Even though vegans do not eat meat or any animal products, they still get the same amount of protein and minerals etc. as a person who eats an animal based diet. There are many plant based proteins available.

For example:

Tofu:

Tofu is a plant based protein made from condensed soy milk which is pressed into blocks. It originated in Southeast Asian and West African countries. It is an excellent source of protein for vegans, instead of meat. It also can bulk out a vegan meal. Tofu also contains iron and other minerals which are important to maintain general health.

Nuts:

Nuts are another example of a plant based protein suitable for vegans. They also contain iron too and make a great, healthy snack if unsalted.
